📈 How to read the pop report data

When you land on PSA's pop report you'll see a grade distribution table. Here's a typical example — and what it's telling you:

PSA 10
18%
PSA 9
34%
PSA 8
27%
PSA 7
13%
1–6
8%

Illustrative example only — not real data for any specific card

High PSA 10 rate (20%+)
This set prints cleanly. A sharp copy has a realistic shot at gem mint.
Low PSA 10 rate (under 5%)
Condition-sensitive. Most copies grade 8 or below even if they look near-mint.
Large total population
Strong demand but PSA 10s are less scarce — caps the value ceiling.
Small total population
Few copies graded. A PSA 10 could be genuinely rare and worth significantly more.
Grades cluster at 7–8
Known print/factory issues. Factor this into your submission decision.
Grades cluster at 9–10
Cards from this set hold up well. A clean copy has a real shot at a strong grade.
The pop report shows submitted cards, not all existing cards — it skews toward collectible copies. A 10% PSA 10 rate does not mean 1-in-10 raw cards will grade gem mint. Real-world rates on raw pulls are always lower.
